Dr Stacy Clemes is a Reader in Active Living and Public Health at Loughborough University. Her expertise focuses on the development and evaluation of interventions promoting reductions in sedentary time and increases in physical activity in the school and workplace environments. She currently leads two NIHR Public Health Research funded studies, one examining the impact of sit-to-stand desks in primary school classrooms, the other examining the impact of a multicomponent lifestyle health behaviour intervention in heavy goods vehicle drivers. She was part of the Sedentary Behaviour Expert Working Group for the 2019 UK Chief Medical Officers’ Physical Activity Guidelines review.
